David J. Breazzano President, Chief Investment OfficerMr. Breazzano is a co-founder of DDJ and has more than 31 years of experience in high yield, distressed, and special situation investing. Prior to forming DDJ, from 1990 to 1996, he was a vice president and portfolio manager in the High Income Group at Fidelity Investments, where he had investment management responsibility for over $4 billion in high yield and distressed assets. Specifically, he was a portfolio manager of the Fidelity Capital & Income Fund, which was one of the largest high yield funds in existence at that time. In addition, Mr. Breazzano co-managed the distressed investing operation at Fidelity.
Prior to joining Fidelity in 1990, Mr. Breazzano was a vice president and portfolio manager at T. Rowe Price Associates. Before joining T. Rowe Price in 1985, he was a high yield analyst and vice president at First Investors Asset Management, which had over $1 billion in high yield assets under management. Mr. Breazzano began his professional career at New York Life as an investment analyst.
Mr. Breazzano currently serves on the boards of Applied Extrusion Technologies, Inc., Bush Industries, Inc., Rita Restaurant Corp., and The Wornick Holding Company, Inc., and is co-author of the chapter entitled “Trading in the Distressed Market” in Investing in Bankruptcies and Turnarounds. Mr. Breazzano received his MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University where he currently sits on the advisory board, and graduated cum laude with a BA from Union College, where he currently sits on the board of trustees.

Mr. Ranaldi joined DDJ in 2002 and has more than 14 years of experience investing in the high yield, distressed and equity markets. As portfolio manager, Mr. Ranaldi is responsible for all day-to-day portfolio management responsibilities for DDJ’s High Yield Strategy.
Mr. Ranaldi has led numerous public and private financings, corporate restructurings and M&A transactions across a wide range of companies and sectors. Prior to joining DDJ, from 2000 to 2002 he was an associate at Spectrum Equity Investors, a private equity firm specializing in telecom and media and from 1997 to 2000 he was a research analyst in the High Yield Group at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Mr. Ranaldi received his BA from Princeton University.

Mr. Wagenknecht joined DDJ in 2004 and has 11 years of experience investing in debt and equity securities in the public and private markets and currently is responsible for investments in the gaming, lodging and leisure industries. As portfolio manager of DDJ's Value Opportunities Strategy, Mr. Wagenknecht is responsible for its day-to-day management as well as managing the sourcing and diligence of all equity investments in the firm.
Mr. Wagenknecht has led numerous public and private financings and corporate restructurings of companies across a broad spectrum of industries. Prior to joining DDJ, Mr. Wagenknecht was an associate at Summit Partners, where he was responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and executing leveraged buyouts of middle-market companies. Prior to Summit, Mr. Wagenknecht was an analyst in the Financial Sponsors Group at UBS Warburg, LLC, where he analyzed and executed equity, bank debt, high yield, and mezzanine debt financings for the firms’ financial sponsor clients.
Mr. Wagenknecht serves on the Alumni Council of the Kent School in Kent, Connecticut, and on the Mark Buttitta Memorial Scholarship Fund Selection Committee. Mr. Wagenknecht received his MBA with Honors from Columbia University and his BA from Boston College. Mr. Wagenknecht is a CFA charter holder, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Champion Holdco, LLC.

Mr. Kime joined DDJ in 2005 and has more than 10 years of experience in high yield, distressed and special situations investing. Mr. Kime serves as DDJ's Director of Research, and is responsible for DDJ's investments in the automotive, consumer products, printing and utility industries.
Prior to joining DDJ, Mr. Kime was a credit analyst at Feingold O’Keefe Capital, a hedge fund that focused on the high yield bond and leveraged loan markets. Prior to joining Feingold O’Keefe Capital, he was a financial analyst in the High Yield Capital Markets Group at Merrill Lynch in New York. Mr. Kime received his BS from New York University’s Stern School of Business, magna cum laude. Mr. Kime is a CFA charter holder and currently serves on the Board of Managers of CML Holdings International, LLC.

Mr. Lind joined DDJ in 2006 and has more than 12 years of experience in high yield, distressed and special situations investing. As assistant portfolio manager of DDJ's High Yield Strategy, Mr. Lind is responsible for assisting Anthony Ranaldi in the day-to-day portfolio management of the High Yield Strategy as well as sourcing investments in the energy and equipment rental industries across all of DDJ's investment strategies.
Prior to joining DDJ, Mr. Lind was a senior research analyst at Coast Asset Management responsible for identifying investment opportunities for a Special Situations Hedge Fund. Prior to joining Coast Asset Management in 2004, Mr. Lind was a research analyst at Sierra Capital where he focused on investing in unsecured claims in Chapter 11 reorganizations. Mr. Lind began his career as a trading assistant at The Helios Group where he researched and traded bond and equity derivatives. Mr. Lind received his BA from Harvard University and is a CFA charter holder.
