DDJ Capital Management, LLC is a registered
investment advisor specializing in high yield
securities and special situation investing. Our mission is to
produce consistently superior investment returns while minimizing
downside risk. We operate in inefficient markets, and we have
the financial and legal expertise, commitment to rigorous due
diligence and active investment management style necessary for

David J. Breazzano and Judy K. Mencher (the
"Principals") co-founded DDJ Capital Management
in 1996 following careers together at Fidelity Investments. The
Principals have over 40 years
of collective experience, successfully investing in public and private securities of financially
troubled companies, high yield bonds and special situations and have spent nearly all of their professional careers sourcing, executing,
analyzing, managing and exiting investments.
The Principals
David J. Breazzano, President, Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Breazzano is a co-founder of DDJ and has over 27 years of investing experience.
Prior to forming DDJ, from 1990 to 1996, he was a Vice President and
Portfolio Manager in the High Income Group at Fidelity Investments, where he had investment management responsibility for
over $4 billion in high yield and special situation assets. Specifically, he
was a portfolio manager of the Fidelity Capital & Income Fund, which was one of the
largest high yield funds in existence at that time.
Prior to joining Fidelity in 1990, Mr. Breazzano was a Vice President
and Portfolio Manager at T. Rowe Price Associates. Before joining T.
Rowe Price in 1985, he was a High Yield Analyst and Vice President at
First Investors Asset Management, which had over $1 billion in high
yield assets under management. Mr. Breazzano began his professional
career at New York Life as an Investment Analyst. He presently serves
on the boards of Bush Industries, Inc., and Key Energy Services, Inc.
Mr. Breazzano is co-author of the chapter entitled "Trading in the Distressed Market" in
Investing In Bankruptcies and Turnarounds. Mr.
Breazzano received his MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University
where he currently sits on the Advisory Board, and graduated cum laude
with a BA from Union College, where he currently sits on the Board of
Trustees.
David L. Goolgasian Jr., Principal, Portfolio Manager, Hedge Funds
Mr. Goolgasian joined DDJ in 1996 at the inception of the firm and has
been integrally involved in the investment decision-making process
for all of DDJ's funds and accounts.
Mr. Goolgasian is currently a Portfolio Manager responsible for
managing DDJ's Hedge Fund Strategy, the Credit Opportunities
Strategy, and for managing and sourcing investments in the
restaurant sector across all of DDJ's products. As a Portfolio
Manager, he is responsible for all day-to-day portfolio management
for such funds. He has more than 15 years of research, trading and portfolio management experience in equity,
high yield, and distressed securities markets and previously served as
Research Analyst and Head Trader at DDJ. Prior to DDJ, Mr. Goolgasian was
at Fidelity Investments, where he worked with the co-founders of DDJ from 1993 to 1996
in the High Income Group as Assistant High Yield Trader.
From 1992 to 1993, he worked in Fidelity’s accounting and custodial area.
Mr. Goolgasian earned his MBA from Boston University and his BS from Bentley College.
He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Rita
Restaurant Corp.
Anthony M. Ranaldi, High Yield
Mr. Ranaldi joined DDJ in 2002 and has 10 years of experience investing in the high yield,
distressed and equity markets. Mr. Ranaldi is responsible for Co-Managing the High Yield
Strategy as well as managing and sourcing investments in the telecom, media and retail
sectors across all of DDJ’s products. Mr. Ranaldi has led numerous public and private
financings, corporate restructurings and M&A transactions across a wide range of companies
within the communications, publishing, retail, consumer products and textile sectors.
Prior to joining DDJ, from 2000 to 2002 he was an Associate at Spectrum Equity Investors,
a private equity firm specializing in telecom and media and from 1997-2000 a Research
Analyst in the High Yield Group at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Mr. Ranaldi earned his
BA from Princeton University.
